Booking conditions & the legal stuff


To make a booking please contact us by phone or email for availability.

I will email a booking form along with payment details, once completed your booking will be confirmed.

Bookings require a £50 deposit (or full amount if less than 4 weeks before chosen date) and the full balance is due 4 weeks before the course or day out.

The legal stuff:

We strongly recommend that you obtain personal insurance prior to the start of the course, holiday or day out in the mountains with us. Tarmachan Mountaineering has full public liability insurance, by law.

All participants should be fit enough for the course and will abide by the safety regulations given  to them.

Any person joining our courses should be aware that mountain sports are potentially hazardous and will have a certain element of risk.

All participants must bring the correct kit as listed on the kit list given to them when they booked the course. We have the right to refuse to take you out on the mountains if we feel you don't have the necessary clothing and footwear. This is for your own safety and comfort.

If you cancel the course:

You will receive all payments minus your deposit.

Less than 1 week before the start date you will receive 50% of the course cost, or a full refund if I can fill the date (s) .

If Tarmachan Mountaineering cancels you will receive a full refund of all monies  paid or offered a course on an alternative date(s).


Tarmachan Mountaineering recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.
