Tarmachan Mountaineering is run by Gary Hodgson. Gary has lived in many locations throughout The Highlands since 1994. I have over 25 years of personal experience of walking and climbing in the mountains of the UK and many other countries around the world. For the last 16 years I have been guiding groups and individuals of varied ages, abilities and backgrounds. It may sound very clichéd but I really do live and breathe the mountains!
I will aim to give you the best mountain experience ever. On all my days you can expect the very highest quality tuition, safety and enjoyment. Gary lives in Aviemore at the foot of The Cairngorm Mountains, Scotland.
It takes many years gaining the correct skills and qualifications for the activities mountain leaders provide. By employing a company or person with these certificates you are assured of a professional and safe time out on the mountains. My qualifications are kept up to date with regular CPD.
