ZINAL WALKING WEEK 2012

Above Zinal, Arppette Aug 2008

This is one of our favourite walking areas in The Alps. The small town of Zinal lies south of the Rhone Valley and we base ourselves here for 7 days with six walking days out from the village, returning back to our comfortable hotel every evening. The  views from all the walks are fantastic, with so little effort we get high amongst some of the well known big 4000m peaks  of the pennine Alps. The Matterhorn, Weisshorn, Zinal Rothorn and Dent Blanche to name but a few can all be seen close by.

7 nights including accommodation, fully qualified & experienced guide, all transport from Geneva airport £500

Dates on demand, minimum group size 6, max 10

Heading to the Grand Mountet Hut, Aug 2008

A typical Alpine path hugs the mountain side and a superb walk to the Mountet Hut, over 3000m high sitting below the Dent Blanche and Zinal Rothorn. A fantastic walk and no lunch to carry, we get it at the hut.

Arppette Hut, Aug 2008

Another fantastic lunch stop at the Arpette Hut. With views so close to glaciers you can almost touch them
